YWCA
Family Center Quarterly Dinner
The YWCA Family
Center is home for up to 200 people in Central
Ohio on any given day. Last year over 650
families, including 1300 children, in crisis
were served at the Family Center. Messiah
provides and serves
a
quarterly dinner at the Family Center. If you
interested in helping you can become involved by
providing food or serving dinner at the Family
Center.
Messiah typically
serves a dinner of chicken and gravy, mashed
potatoes, corn, fruit, rolls and brownies. A
Messiah family underwrites the main portion of
the dinner and we depend on our volunteers to
provide fruit, dinner rolls and brownies. The
food needs to be dropped off in the church
kitchen by 1:00 p.m. the day of the dinner.
If you can help
serve, food preparers should arrive at the
Family Center by 4:00 and servers should arrive
by 5:30. There are two dinner times (6pm and
7pm) followed by clean-up. We are typically
finished by 8:15. This a great fellowship and
service opportunity for individuals or families.
