Our Church & Society Team arranges for various Church of the Messiah groups to provide lunches to The Open Shelter in Columbus. This ministry provides dinner to homeless men at the Columbus Open Shelter on the first Wednesday of every month. Many groups and Sunday Schools find this is a service they can provide once or twice during the year. It is also a meaningful service for families to do together. Open Shelter is the only "24-hour emergency walk-in shelter" for men in Central Ohio. It has no admission requirements. The Open Shelter is the most utilized shelter in the State of Ohio. |
