Announcing Messiah's New Associate Pastor, Rev. Evette Watt

Church of the Messiah’s leadership board is pleased to announce the appointment of our new Associate Pastor, Evette Loper Watt. Evette grew up in the Methodist tradition and is passionate about the Word of God.  The following passage undergirds her life:

3 You have already been cleansed[b] by the word that I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:3-5)

Evette worked as an attorney serving families and children in crisis for many years.  She responded to God’s call to ministry and pursued full-time seminary studies.  Evette is a Licensed Local Pastor and will be commissioned as a Provisional Elder at the West Ohio Annual Conference.  She looks forward to serving the Messiah family in the ministries of preaching, teaching, and pastoral care and counseling.  She has also served as a Chaplain in the hospital and hospice settings.
