Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

With the renovations nearly completed at The Messiah Meeting House and The Gathering Place, it is time to review the status of our Mission:Messiah! campaign.  We were extremely fortunate to obtain the properties across the street; they have set the foundation for our vision and greatly increase the space available to our congregation!

The Campaign has received $370,314 out of the original pledges of $1,155,847 made by church members.  However, the purchase price of the new properties totaled $1,703,500 and interest is accruing steadily.  A substantial amount of money must be raised as soon as possible to pay off our debt and reduce additional interest costs. Once this debt has been reduced we can continue with plans to renovate our current structure and build across the street.

Since 1818, Church of Messiah has been built through the faith and contributions of its congregation; each generation has played an important role in the future of the church. Your contributions are essential to the success of Messiah’s plans. Please prayerfully consider making an immediate donation, increasing your current pledge, or submitting a first-time pledge to be paid over the remaining campaign period (ending Dec 2011).
