What I do at Messiah: I have the wonderful opportunity to
empower and inspire all God’s children who worship at Messiah
through my gifts of preaching, teaching, administration, and
providing the ministry of presence through pastoral care. I
also serve passionately in the areas of leadership development,
spiritual formation, and college ministry.
My God Story: I was not raised in the church
and did not become a Christian until I was in high school. My
cheerleading coach mentored me and shared the love of Christ
with me. As I became active in my faith journey and
participated with the Emmaus and Chrysalis Communities God was
speaking to my heart regarding ministry. I fought this call for
many years and finally surrendered in the summer of 2005. My
journey has been enhanced and strengthened after responding to
my call to ministry. Each day is a new beginning, another
opportunity to serve and I am excited to see what unfolds in the
years to come.

My Hobbies: I enjoy the art of photography,
writing, reading, and theology. I love to golf and attend
sporting events, mostly hockey and football games. I have an
addiction to ferry boats and sailing, especially the beauty of
Lake Michigan. I also love to ride motorcycles – there is no
greater feeling than being on the open road with the wind in
your face while taking in all of God’s majestic creation in the
nature surrounding you!
