2017 Tapestry of a Town Walking Tour Through Historic Westerville
Don’t miss the 5th annual ‘Tapestry of a Town’ -- a walking tour of historic Uptown Westerville -- on Sunday, July 30 from 1 - 5 p.m. We have 11 new and exciting venues for you to visit this year, including four private historic homes. The excitement continues in that Church of the Messiah is included on the tour this year as it celebrates its 200th anniversary.
We hope many of you will join us in a celebration of Westerville’s heritage by attending this fun event. Your ticket includes a booklet of information with a map for the self-guided tour, so you can start anywhere and proceed in any order that works for you. Well-informed guides will greet you at each location and you will have a chance to see inside some of the most interesting buildings and homes in town and learn about Westerville’s historic legacy. As in past years, you will be able to enjoy live entertainment at many of the venues.
Please mark your calendars for the 2017 Tapestry of a Town and invite your friends and family to join you. Tickets are still $10 and will be available in the lounge on Sundays in July after the 8:15 and 9:30 services. Tickets are also available at the Westerville Visitors' Bureau on Main Street. Please call Bettye Siemon (891-8817) or Janet Laster (891-2546) for additional information and check our website at http://www.westervillehabitat.org/tapestry-of-a-town-2017/ for additional information and a listing of sites.
This event is sponsored by the Westerville Habitat Partnership, of which our church is a supporting member. Thanks to the generosity of our attendees, last year we were able to give $3,255.00 from this event to build decent, affordable Habitat homes for deserving families in Delaware and Union Counties.
