About the Steps of Faith 5K Run/Walk
Steps of Faith 5K Run & Walk is a community event celebrating all abilities! Steps of Faith was inspired by a Run For God community with the simple desire to glorify God in all that we do. The event is an opportunity to encourage one another in fellowship to run our race (Hebrews 12:1). All proceeds are distributed to support The Heinzerling Foundation and Bradley's House of Hope.
The Heinzerling Foundation is a private non-profit organization that provides a residential home for 208 children and adults with severe or profound developmental disabilities. Heinzerling is located on the southwest side of Columbus, OH.
Bradley’s House of Hope is a facility under the care of Tesoros de Dios (God’s Treasures), a private non-profit organization serving nearly100 children with disabilities in Nicaragua, the 2nd poorest country in the western hemisphere. The facility is named after a former resident of Heinzerling.

Christmas in July
The Faith in Motion and FROG Sunday School classes are inviting you to join with us to celebrate Christmas in July.
We all love receiving Christmas gifts but unfortunately, there are kids around the world who never have heard of Christmas, let alone received a gift. Operation Christmas Child is a ministry run by Franklin Graham in conjunction with Samaritan’s Purse that provides shoebox gifts to these under privileged children. This small shoebox can teach a child about the love of God, lead him or her to faith in Christ, inspire pastors, and plant new churches. What goes into the box is useful and fun, but what comes out is eternal. We invite you to be a part of changing lives through the power of a simple gift.
When we started this project, our goal was 100 boxes and we filled 120. Last year 181 boxes were filled. This year our goal is 200 boxes and I am confident that Messiah can do this.
The boxes will be available outside of the sanctuary on June 24 and 25. Included will be a label that includes ideas of what to pack, a coloring page, and a picture of the church so the recipient can see where the gift is coming from. The $7 fee will be covered so you don’t need to include it.
The boxes will be returned the weekend of July 29 and 30. We will have a Christmas celebration , sing Christmas hymns and enjoy some Christmas goodies.
So together with FIM and the FROG class, I invited you to join in and bless a child.
Join us on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays at 8:30am in room 301. We will be focusing on Daniel for the next few months.
Jun. 24: Daniel chapter 9

Whether your loss is from:
Divorce or end of a relationship

Loss of health
Your feelings are normal and natural. The problem is that we have been socialized to believe that these feelings are abnormal and unnatural.
Myths about grief:
Time heals all wounds
Replace the loss
Be strong for others
Bury your feelings
People say you have to let go and move on in your life, but they don’t tell you what you need to do to accomplish that. The Grief Recovery Method® Outreach Program not only makes that possible, but provides partnerships and guidance to ensure that it happens.
