Providing emergency, temporary shelter for 50 families and the following services: assistance with housing placement, 3 meals daily, on site day
care, on site pre-school, Columbus Public Schools liaison, Children’s Social Services Advocate, Case Managers, resume assistance, legal aid assistance,
after school care. Funding providing by YWCA, United Way, Columbus Shelter Board, churches, synagogues, private corporations and private donors.
Church of the Messiah has been a ministry partner with IHN, now YWCA Family Center, since 1997.
Over the course of time, the YWCA and Messiah have found it much more efficient
and cost effective if we buy the food in bulk and prepare at the YWCA. Thus a
donation line is listed at the top of the signup form. We need $200 dollars each
time. If you can donate any amount, that will help, however donations of $10.00
and higher are preferred. The column in the left keep track of what we need, and
the box on the right allows you to pledge your donations.
Funds pledged can be paid by mailing a check written out to "Church of the
Messiah" with "YWCA FC" in the memo line note . Mail directly

As this service requires advance coordination with multiple support teams, we
are asking you to signup to serve. You can call the Ministry Leader to sign up
for this mission, however we prefer you can sign-up online. Your information
will not be re-used or provided to anyone else, just provides us with a
necessary communications path back to you.
To signup online, please enter your contact information, check the box beside
the opportunity(ies) you are signing up for, and then press the submit button.
The list on the screen will be automatically updated and an email will be sent
to you and the Ministry leader notifying of your signup. If someone has already
signed up for the opportunity, the checkbox will not be available, and the name
field is required.
